Summer brings highs in the 80's to Sanpoil Lake. During the moonlight hours it's usually in the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Sanpoil Lake. Sanpoil Lake is pretty dried out generally; the wettest month of the year is usually December, that's the one that snows the most; the driest of the months is October. Herron Creek is a stream that you may encounter       while here; why not camp at Miller's Campground and RV Park since you're here at Sanpoil Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Laws Trail; needless to say, this is a good area for folks who like lakes, Malo Lake is a lake close by. Now, you may feel that's lots but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Sanpoil Lake. Going for a hike on the Golden Harvest Trail is always a good adventure, and do pay a visit to Lake Roosevelt                  National Recreation Area if you're here at Sanpoil Lake. Curlew Lake Campground is a good local campground, and you can go for a hike on the Tenmile Trail.
