You'll find a charming lake called Ludlow Lake near Sandy Shore Lake, and a delightful close by hotel is The Resort At Port Ludlow. Man, is there a load of amusing stuff to do in the Olympic Mountains. Hiking along the Bear Mountain Trail is great fun, and Sandy Shore Lake is right by the Mount Zion Trail. If you come at the right time of year, Big Quilcene River offers some great whitewater; after a       long day outdoors Inn at Port Hadlock is a fine spot to spend a night or two. You completely must like the Olympic Mountains. A splendid place to camp here at Sandy Shore Lake is Discovery Bay Camp-peniel's, and since you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Bremerton-Silverdale. This lake is so wonderful. Sandy Shore Lake is one of the lakes here in the Olympic Mountains. At Sandy Shore Lake throughout the months of summer highs are in the                  70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. Highs through the winter are generally in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Sandy Shore Lake. Sandy Shore Lake gets very little rain; the wettest month of the year is typically December, that's the one that rains the most; July is when it's the driest.
