Sand Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 60's to Sand Lake, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's; overnight lows at Sand Lake through the wintertime generally sink into the 10's. Sand Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, White Pass Campground is a great local campground; if you don't mind getting wet, you can always

| | go whitewater paddling on Cowlitz River - Clear Fork. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Cascade Range.
Now, you may think that's a heap but there's even more amusing things to do here in the Northern Cascade Range. A great nearby hotel is Crystal Mountain Hotels, and Crystal Mountain has magnificent slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby White Pass, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Sand Lake; Dark Meadows Trail is a wonderful local trail. This lake
is so wonderful. There's glorious hiking along the Sand Lake Trail. Lakes? Sure, Beusch Lake is in the neighborhood. And if that's not enough there's heaps more enjoyable stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range. If you came to camp
Knuppenburg Lake Campground is a splendid location to do that; why not take a refreshing hike along the Cowlitz Trail.
A large amount of rainfall falls at Sand Lake; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most
snow, and the driest of the months is July. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Sand Lake. White Pass is a nice spot to spend some time at; Summit Creek is a tremendous whitewater spot nearby.
