A great close by hotel is La Quinta Inn AND Suites Vancouver, and Green Lake is a magnificent lake nearby. Round Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Sauvie Cove Store and RV Park is a great local campground, and Shillapoo Lake is a perfect spot to check out. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. You are in close proximity to Reeder Point since you're here at Round Lake, and of course Salmon Creek flows through this neighborhood. This lake is

Round Lake is a rather wet place mostly with lots of rainfall; through the month of December you get the most rain around here, and July meanwhile is the driest month. Pine Crest Golf Course is a golf course next to Round Lake. Lakes? Sure, Curtis Lake is close by. This lake is so wonderful. | |

Get yourself into a kayak and hit Kalama River. At Round Lake you always meet someone from Portland-Vancouver-Beaverton, and soar down the rapids of Lewis River - East Fork in a kayak. During the days of summer at Round Lake temperatures
are generally in the 80's, and the night is a little chillier of course, usually in the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 40's; night lows at Round Lake during the wintertime frequently descend into the 30's.

Lewis River - East Fork
 | 13 miles away *WARNING* Lewisville Pk to DayBreak on July 2, 2009. Water very low and very rocky using tubes and raft. Had to get out often and dislodge from rocks or walk over river rock. Had to walk from 1/4 sign to Daybreak all the way out and was VERY UNHAPPY. Walk was actually about a mile to parking area over river rock and then very narrow trail. Trails not marked if you have to get out and walk because water was TOO low (only a few inches deep). Would have appreciated uptodate info at booth at Lewisville entrance. Was told rafting was fine to Daybreak. Trip took 5.5 hours and was told it would take 2.5.... |

There are great hiking trails and it's also full of fish and crawdads. Boating is a must if possible.... |
