The beauty of Rock Quarry Lake is reason enough to stop by. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site. There's some out of the ordinary stuff to catch a sight of at Mud Mountain Dam close to Rock Quarry Lake; you can go for a hike on the Clearwater Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Bear Swamp is a swamp in the vicinity of Rock Quarry Lake, and there's whitewater on Green River for all you adrenaline junkies. If you need a spot to stay Kings Valu Inn is a perfect choice, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend South Praire Creek. Baldy Hill is clearly visible from Rock Quarry Lake. Don't leave Rock
Quarry Lake without first going for a hike along the Paul Peak Trail, and a fine nearby hotel is Econo Lodge Buckley. This lake is so wonderful. If time allows, Mount Rainier National Park is a national park worth taking a look at,
and why not a little side journey to Red Creek.
For the period of the summer at Rock Quarry Lake highs are regularly in the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. Highs during the winter are typically in
the 40's; overnight lows at Rock Quarry Lake throughout the winter mostly descend into the 30's. If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Northern Cascade Range. Going for a hike on the Summit Lake Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and why not camp at Green River Gorge Resort since you're here at Rock Quarry Lake.
