paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Dingford Creek, and you can hit the slopes at Alpental in the vicinity. And if that's not sufficient there's a heap more amusing stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range. Get your heart pumping on the nice whitewater of Snoqualmie River - Middle Fork, and don't forget to take a good little tour to Dingford Creek. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is great here at Rock Lake, you can go

Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at close by Lunker Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Howard Johnson Snoqualmie/Summit. And if you're still looking for more outdoors enjoyable things just keep reading. The Annette Lake Trail is a good hiking trail in the vicinity of Rock Lake, and West Fork Campground is a great local campground. A short journey to Dingford Creek Falls is always worthwhile.
Going for a hike along the Middle Fork Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Lakes are perfect; Hi-Low Lake is a lake that's in the vicinity of Rock Lake. From the steep and deep to the high-speed buffed-out cruisers, from our gentle learning areas to our benchmark parks and pipe, diversity is a way of life around here. With four unique base areas and less than an hour from Seattle on Interstate 90, no other resort in the country offers so much variety with this much convenience. Consider it a buffet for the outdoor enthusiast!
For the third year in a row, we stayed open longer than any other resort in the state, this season through Memorial Day. What can we say? We love spring skiing as much as you do!
So if you're looking for a true escape this winter, look no further than The Summit.

Honey Lake
The lake no longer has any trails to it. All trails are gone from nature reclaiming it. The only way into lake is through quartz creek road(no vehicles)2.5 miles. From there it is a bushwack up to the ridge(2000 ft). From the ridge you can see honey lake. 1000 feet down. The bush is thick in that area (45 degree angle going up and down(or it seem that steep). 15 years ago some guys fished out the lake in one day. Before tha the fish were between 18 to 24 inches rainbow. If you can make it you deserve the good fishing. Haven't fished there in 20 years it may not have any fish in it or it has big fish (I dont know never made it close enough recently to fish). Good luck. ...

Bonney lake Is not trained. It is drained in the winter, who ever runs the dam doesn't man it in winter so they let it drain. There was talk that they would not fill it any more....Just heard that Bonnie Lake is drained in the winter and then refilled in the Spring. Can you tell me why?...

Stephens Pass

Stevens has a wide diversity of trails and runs that suits every riding style. From beginner to expert and for those terrain park junkies Stevens has you covered. I think what's special about Stevens is you can find your own little part of the mountain which is all yours, I have 4-5 little runs that cross between trails and off-piste that are all mine. Also the snow is crazy good, powder almost all the time. My favorite runs are Orion, some tree skiing near wall street, and right above the power lines. Stevens also has some pretty sweet out of bounds stuff to so check it out...

Pacific Crest Trail - section 25

This peak is trailless, meaning a portion or all of the route up the mountain is via an unmarked trail. For this particular mountain, the typical route is known as a ''herd path'' which is not much more than a worn, but unmarked trail. Some of the herd paths are easy to follow, others are not. In many instances the hiker will travel down a false herd path and eventually have to correct his/her course via backtracking. For these particular mountains, it is imperative that the hiker carry a compass (and know how to use it) and topographic map....
