A perfect nearby hotel is Willow Springs Motel near EWU; in case you don’t mind       getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Spokane River. Roberts Lake gets very little rainfall; December is the wettest month with most snow, and July is the month with the least moisture. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites CHENEY-UNIVERSITY AREA is a great spot to spend a night or two. East Tritt Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by, and Hangman Creek is a splendid whitewater spot nearby.
