     This lake is one of the great places here in the Olympic Mountains. That right there is a heap of exciting things already but it goes on, the Olympic Mountains has it all. Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort is a great place to get some rest; hiking is a popular thing to do around Ring Lake; Canyon Creek Hoh Trail is a fine local trail. High temperatures at Ring Lake during the warm months are in the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. The cold days  
   of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Ring Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. A scenic lake like Mink Lake near Ring Lake is a good spot to have a look at, and great hiking is available along the Lovers Lane. Dry warm beds await you at Lake Quinault Lodge, and soar down the rapids of Soleduck River in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. During your spree to Ring Lake you'll meet some folks from Port Angeles
 
               for sure; Soleduck Campground is a perfect campground nearby.
Be careful coming to the Olympic Mountains, you might not ever want to go home again. Blackwood Lake is a great lake close to Ring Lake, and why not take a little visit to Camp Creek since you're here. The sight of striking Misery Peak near Ring Lake is wonderful, and if you came for an overnight stay Hoh Campground is a good place to camp.
But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of Ring Lake. Don't leave Ring Lake without first going for a hike along the Mink Lake Trail, and paddling on Soleduck River - North Fork is so much fun. Ring Lake gets much water; most of the rain falls all through November while July is generally the driest month.

I just love Whiskey Creek Beach. I have been going here for years and now I take my mother every year for 5 days and she loves it also. My daughter and grandchildren have been here and they love it also. It is a great rustic family place. We relax listening to the ebbing tides at night, collect rocks and shells, roast marshmallows for smores and just have fun. Last time we fount a great fishing hole and handicap assessable and it had fire rings bathrooms tables camping sites right down the road. From WCB. You need to try this place if you REALLY want to relax....

Rugged Ridge Trail

The distance came up as 3.2mi (or 4.6k) on our map. That was to the River. Nice hike....I just hiked half of this trail on January 20,2008. It's a beautiful quiet trail thru lush forest. Trailhead is difficult to find. From Route 101 in Forks take FR 29. After 11.3 mi take a right onto FR 2913 for 2.2 mi to the end where the trail starts....

I don't think it is as difficult as you say. The trail is well defined, and as a day hike last weekend it took less than 6 hours to do the loop from happy lake trailhead, around boulder lake, past the hot springs and back to my car....

lilly lake has a nice area to camp amd you can go swimming, have a nice nature hike, see a lot of different animals like birds,deer,beavers and squrels.And dont forget bug repelant, there are lots of bugs.You might see other people on the trails and mabye at the lake. You can ride horses up to lilly lake or hike with a friend or dog. Just have fun....
