This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Thornewood Castle Inn And Gardens is a magnificent place to spend a night or two; Nisqually River has a delightful whitewater paddling spot close by. Dry warm beds await you at La Quinta Inn AND Suites Lakewood, and if you get bored of Reichel Lake you could also stop by close by Lake Lawrence. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! | | a sight of Jonas Hill from Reichel Lake; in case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Deschutes River. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Cascade Range. The high level of rain makes Reichel Lake a quite wet place; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Ike Kinswa Campground is a good local campground; Lake Lawrence Dam is wonderful. Through the warm months, highs regularly are in the 70's at Reichel Lake. Summer nighttime lows
descend down to the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's while Reichel Lake overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 30's. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors amusing things the Northern Cascade
Range has to offer. Lake Lawrence is a nearby lake that you could stop by. There's so much to do here at Reichel Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Leisure Time Resorts-america is a perfect place for that, and Reichel Lake is not far at all from Centralia.

 | ...s like most rivers, every year there is something new and unexpected. There are a few notable obstacles and log jams that have stuck over the past ten years or so. One of them is between McKenna and the Nisqually railroad trestle. It has been there as long as I can remember. But the river isn't too fast there and you should have plenty of time to get outta the way. The other problems are further down the river, the log jams that are past the Nisqually pines aren't too bad. Most of them are so far up on the river bank that only a few trees hang into the river ( not to say that there are none of them.) But the problem is that you raft right under the cliffs on FT. Lewis. They seem to like to throw cars off the cliffs and watch them hit the water.. Or this is a good way to dispose of stolen cars.. Because the water just churns and turns these cars into a spiky nightmare for the rafters and tubers of the Nisqually. I have yet to see one person go over the cars and not instantly blow there raft apart.. Just keep a good eye out for any colors that don't belong in the river. Sometimes its j... |
