Having a perfect time in the Northern Cascade Range is simple. Paddling on Lost River is so much fun, and there is a fine hiking trail nearby called the Boundary Trail. Any time is a great time at Rampart Lake if you love the outdoors. There's so much to do here at Rampart Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Gate Creek Campground is a glorious site for that. At Rampart Lake during the summertime months highs are       in the 80's while nighttime lows are frequently in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Rampart Lake. Going for a hike on the Driveway Butte Trail is always a good adventure, and you're probably addicted to lakes, Cougar Lake is one of those close by. If you came to camp Ballard Campground is a brilliant spot to do that, and the Monument Creek Trail is a great hiking trail nearby. Rampart                  Lake is usually a reasonably dried up spot; December is the month that gets the most snow, and the driest month is July. This lake is so wonderful. Get soaked paddling on Methow River; on a lovely day you obtain a pleasant vista of Lost Peak from Rampart Lake.
