Beautiful Rampart Lake has much to offer visitors. Lost River has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot close by, and after a long day outdoors Freestone Inn And Cabins is a good spot to spend a night or two. If you like the outdoors, you'll love Rampart Lake. Rampart Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Ballard Campground is a great local campground, and if you need a location to stay Mazama Country Inn is a glorious choice. This location, the Northern Cascade Range, has so much outdoors fun things. Whitewater paddling is nice on Methow River. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Northern Cascade Range. You can make out Lost Peak from Rampart Lake; great hiking is available along the Driveway Butte Trail. Rampart Lake, you could also explore nearby Johnny Lakes; going for a hike on the Monument Creek Trail is always a fine adventure.
If you came to camp Gate Creek Campground is a great place to do that; you can go for a hike on
the Boundary Trail. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. For the duration of the warm months at Rampart Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down
into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Rampart Lake.
