You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the area in the neighborhood of Rainbow Lake has to offer. Looking for some flowing water? Try Cummings Creek; the sight of Goat Mountain is striking. Throughout the warm months here at Rainbow Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 80's while nighttime       lows are generally in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Rainbow Lake. Hit the slopes at Bluewood nearby, and since you're here, you could also stop at gorgeous Deer Lake. Take a hike on the Panjab Trail, and camping at Tucannon Campground is always a great experience. Not far from Rainbow Lake you get some nice water scenery at Rainbow Lake Dam, and Waterman Gulch is also a tremendous                  location to discover. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Rattlesnake Trail, and a magnificent place to camp here at Rainbow Lake is The Last Resort RV Campground and Store. This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful nearby hotel is Best Western Wheatland Inn.
