This lake is so wonderful. The view of Beckler Peak from Profitts Pond is picturesque; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Foss River. There's so much to do here at Profitts Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Foss River Campground is a good place for that, and you can go for a hike on the Escondido Trail. Summertime highs at Profitts Pond regularly tend to be in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours
of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 40's with temperatures at Profitts Pond dipping down into the 30's during winter nights.
The Northern Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. So many cool things in the Northern Cascade Range, just remarkable. While you're here at Profitts Pond, you could also stop by gorgeous Bertha Lake, and don't leave Profitts Pond without first going for a hike along the

Middle Fork Trail. So much cool stuff to do here at Profitts Pond, too brilliant to be true. A delightful close by hotel is Suncadia Resort; fine hiking is available along the Cooper Pass Trail.
Getting to Alpine Creek from Profitts Pond is trouble-free. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Deception Creek Campground is a delightful place to do that; the snow is tremendous at Alpental. If you need a location to stay Howard Johnson Snoqualmie/Summit is a wonderful choice, and if you come at the right time of year, Tye River offers some tremendous whitewater.
The high level of rain makes Profitts Pond a pretty wet place; most of the rain falls through December while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Northern Cascade Range. Jakes Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at; why not head up to Stephens Pass and strap some skis to your feet.

Stevens has a wide diversity of trails and runs that suits every riding style. From beginner to expert and for those terrain park junkies Stevens has you covered. I think what's special about Stevens is you can find your own little part of the mountain which is all yours, I have 4-5 little runs that cross between trails and off-piste that are all mine. Also the snow is crazy good, powder almost all the time. My favorite runs are Orion, some tree skiing near wall street, and right above the power lines. Stevens also has some pretty sweet out of bounds stuff to so check it out...

Bonnie Lake
Bonney lake Is not trained. It is drained in the winter, who ever runs the dam doesn't man it in winter so they let it drain. There was talk that they would not fill it any more....Just heard that Bonnie Lake is drained in the winter and then refilled in the Spring. Can you tell me why?...

This ''Lake'' Is Beautiful. It really isn't a lake at all, in the summer it is a widening of the river. Very slow moving river, more like a slough, it is very clean, clear, and cold, mountain runoff. The fishing is excellent from a small boat or float tube, although the current can be somewhat strong. I fly fished, using a #14 Adams, and caught 11 rainbow and cutthroat trout between 6 & 11'', in the early to mid evening. This was in July of 2008. Camping was good, small sites along the main road. Keep your food in the cars though as Bears are definitely out....

From the steep and deep to the high-speed buffed-out cruisers, from our gentle learning areas to our benchmark parks and pipe, diversity is a way of life around here. With four unique base areas and less than an hour from Seattle on Interstate 90, no other resort in the country offers so much variety with this much convenience. Consider it a buffet for the outdoor enthusiast!
For the third year in a row, we stayed open longer than any other resort in the state, this season through Memorial Day. What can we say? We love spring skiing as much as you do!
So if you're looking for a true escape this winter, look no further than The Summit.
