Profitts Pond is a nice lake to visit. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Cascade Range. This lake is so wonderful. The peak of Beckler Peak can be observed from Profitts Pond; lovely scenery and great skiing is what you obtain at Alpental. But wait, there's more cool stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range. If you need a place to stay Suncadia Resort is a wonderful choice, and if you come at the right time of year, Tye River offers some perfect
   whitewater.
Alpine Creek flows through this neighborhood, and why not camp at Foss River Campground while you're here at Profitts Pond. Throughout the long summer days here at Profitts Pond, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. Highs all through the wintertime are usually in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 30's for Profitts Pond. There are other locations here than Profitts Pond,

for example Bertha Lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Deception Creek Campground is a great spot to camp.
If only every spot had this much outdoors fun stuff, what a great planet it would be. Jakes Lake is a magnificent lake right next door to Profitts Pond; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Foss River. This lake is so wonderful. Profitts Pond is right by the Escondido Trail, and going for a hike along the Cooper Pass Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Cascade Range. Hiking along the Middle Fork Trail is perfect fun, and what would winter be without some skiing at Stephens Pass. The high level of precipitation makes Profitts Pond a relatively wet location; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is July.

Stevens has a wide diversity of trails and runs that suits every riding style. From beginner to expert and for those terrain park junkies Stevens has you covered. I think what's special about Stevens is you can find your own little part of the mountain which is all yours, I have 4-5 little runs that cross between trails and off-piste that are all mine. Also the snow is crazy good, powder almost all the time. My favorite runs are Orion, some tree skiing near wall street, and right above the power lines. Stevens also has some pretty sweet out of bounds stuff to so check it out...

Bonnie Lake
Bonney lake Is not trained. It is drained in the winter, who ever runs the dam doesn't man it in winter so they let it drain. There was talk that they would not fill it any more....Just heard that Bonnie Lake is drained in the winter and then refilled in the Spring. Can you tell me why?...

This ''Lake'' Is Beautiful. It really isn't a lake at all, in the summer it is a widening of the river. Very slow moving river, more like a slough, it is very clean, clear, and cold, mountain runoff. The fishing is excellent from a small boat or float tube, although the current can be somewhat strong. I fly fished, using a #14 Adams, and caught 11 rainbow and cutthroat trout between 6 & 11'', in the early to mid evening. This was in July of 2008. Camping was good, small sites along the main road. Keep your food in the cars though as Bears are definitely out....

From the steep and deep to the high-speed buffed-out cruisers, from our gentle learning areas to our benchmark parks and pipe, diversity is a way of life around here. With four unique base areas and less than an hour from Seattle on Interstate 90, no other resort in the country offers so much variety with this much convenience. Consider it a buffet for the outdoor enthusiast!
For the third year in a row, we stayed open longer than any other resort in the state, this season through Memorial Day. What can we say? We love spring skiing as much as you do!
So if you're looking for a true escape this winter, look no further than The Summit.
