If you need a place to stay Belfair Motel is a good choice; glide down the rapids of Duckabush River in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than Prickett Lake, for example Coon Lake, and Prickett Lake is not far at all from Shelton. Summer at Prickett Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. Daytime       highs through the winter are in the 40's with temperatures at Prickett Lake dipping down into the 30's during winter nights. There's so much to do here at Prickett Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Snooze Junction RV Park is a magnificent site for that; Alderbrook Resort And Spa is a glorious place to get some rest. The Olympic Mountains scenery is always beautiful. If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Olympic Mountains. If you                  come at the right time of year, Dosewallips River offers some delightful whitewater; Prickett Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Park Place On Hood Canal is a magnificent local campground. All the water falling down from the sky makes Prickett Lake a wet place; December is the month that gets the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things right next door to Prickett Lake.
