     Pothole Lake is a nice lake to visit. Much rain falls at Pothole Lake; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is July. There's nice hiking along the Osborne Mountain Trail; if you need a place to stay Econo Lodge Buckley is a nice choice. This place, the Northern Cascade Range, has so much outdoors amusing stuff. Good hiking is available along the Big Creek Trail; if you come at the right time of year,  
   Silver Creek offers some delightful whitewater.
This lake is so wonderful. Mounthaven Resort is a good campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Pothole Lake; Silver Creek Trail is a great local trail, and at Pothole Lake you can see Osborne Mountain. Getting to Teeley Creek from Pothole Lake is trouble-free, and you can stay the night at High Rock Campground.

Bertha May Lake is nearby, and if you haven’t been to Mount Rainier National Park, you have to schedule some time for it while you're here. So many exciting things to do in the Northern Cascade Range, not enough time. You're probably hooked on lakes, Granite Lake is one of those close by, and there are some great whitewater spots on Cispus River.
For the period of the warmest time of the year, highs frequently are in the 70's at Pothole Lake. Through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. Highs through the winter are usually in the 40's while Pothole Lake nighttime low temperatures all through the winter are in the 30's.

July 19, 2008-- We hiked up to Mt. Beljica this date. I would not recommend it just yet because of the unusually heavy snowfall last winter, unless you're very familiar with the trail. The entire trail is still snow covered from Lake Christine on up to the top of Mt. Beljica. We lost the trail, and then found it again.... that was a bit unnerving....
