Summer brings highs in the 70's to Pothole Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. All through the winter highs are regularly in the 30's; night lows at Pothole Lake through the wintertime regularly dip into the 20's. After a long day outdoors Barchris Motel & Apartments is a pleasant place to spend a night or two, and if you get bored of Pothole Lake you could       also visit close by Carp Lake. So many cool things in the Northern Cascade Range, just extraordinary. Stay the night at Cottonwood RV Park; the peak of Jackknife Butte can be seen from Pothole Lake. From a rainfall point of view Pothole Lake is a rather common spot; during the month of December you get the most snow around here, and the driest month of the year is July. This lake is so wonderful. Get drenched paddling on Little Klickitat River. There's so                  much to do here at Pothole Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Sunset RV Park is a wonderful location for that. Float down the rapids of Canyon Creek - Klickitat drainage in a kayak, and if you need a spot to stay Ponderosa Motel is a great choice. Now, you may believe that's a heap but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Pothole Lake.
