Get drenched paddling on Matheny Creek, and Amanda Park Motel & Rv Park is a fine place to get some rest. Pope Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; the wettest month of the year is regularly December, that's the one that rains the most; July on the other hand is the driest. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Pope Lake. Pope Lake is a beautiful lake in the Olympic Mountains. For the period of the warm       days of summer, highs generally are in the 70's at Pope Lake. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's with temperatures at Pope Lake dipping down into the 30's during winter nights. You simply have to like the Olympic Mountains. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Sam's River, and there are plenty of people from Aberdeen here at Pope Lake. This lake is so wonderful. July Creek Campground is a splendid                  campground here, and there's some flowing water close by, Boulder Creek is a stream you can have a look at while you're here.
