     Ponderosa Lake is not the only site close by, Blue Lake is a close by lake; close by you locate brilliant places like Porcupine Pass. If you get bored of Ponderosa Lake, you could also pop by close by Black Lake, and Ponderosa Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Spokane Rv Resort is a great local campground. Not far from Ponderosa Lake you get some wonderful water scenery at Ponderosa Lake Dam, and Solar World Estates North is a magnificent place  
   to get some rest. High temperatures at Ponderosa Lake all through the months of summer are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Ponderosa Lake dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights.
At Ponderosa Lake you don’t see much rain; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most snow; July meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
 
               Head up to 49 Degrees North and strap some skis to your feet. Hemlock Creek flows through this vicinity; a spree to Sandy Beach is always a good idea.
This place is so good, just explore all the enjoyable stuff to do in close proximity to Ponderosa Lake. A day on the slopes of Mt. Spokane is just what you need, and if you need a location to stay Ramada Limited Suites Spokane is a perfect choice. This lake is so wonderful. Spokane River has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby. There's so much to do here at Ponderosa Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Jerry's Landing Resort is a good place for that.

Situated in the southern Selkirk Mountains, the ski area has a unique climate due to its location one mile east of Flowery Trail Pass (4,046 ft) that produces moderate temperatures with consistent snow pack at higher elevations. The total snowfall at the ski area averages 300 inches or more, while the total average annual precipitation at the ski area is 36.10 inches, with 69 percent of the precipitation coming as snow between November to April.
During the winter, nearly all precipitation in the vicinity of the ski area falls as snow. In the town of Chewelah and the surrounding lower elevations west of Flowery Trial Pass the snow pack is limited; however, in the towns of Usk and Cusick, and the surrounding lower elevations east of Flowery Trail Pass, the snow pack is greater than the west side. Interesting to see this area via google satelitte...in 1892 my paternal grandfather purchased 95.5 acres along the river at the China Bend area from the govt. It must have been repurchased by the Bureau of Reclamation when the Dam was being considered. Glad it's still beautiful....
