Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Chewuch River, and going for a hike along the Windy Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Take a little visit to Basin Creek since you're here at Pocket Lake; if you came for       an overnight stay Thirtymile Campground is a perfect place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Pocket Lake, you could also stop at wonderful Meadow Lake, and while you're here you can take a hike along the North Fork Twentymile Trail. So much fun stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range, not sufficient time. You'll come across a striking lake called Scheelite Lake near Pocket Lake, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike                  along the North Twentymile Trail. Through the warm months here at Pocket Lake, high temperatures commonly reach the 80's with overnight lows in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Pocket Lake. Pocket Lake is one of the lakes here in the Northern Cascade Range. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Northern Cascade Range. Americas Best Value Inn-Winthrop is a brilliant site to get some rest.
