Priest River is a brilliant whitewater spot next to Playa Lake; you're almost certainly hooked on lakes, Huff Lake is one of those nearby. This lake is so wonderful. A quick journey to Hemlock Creek near Playa Lake is a glorious idea, and Roosevelt Grove Of Ancient Cedars is a splendid local forest. While staying at Playa Lake you could always look at Granite Pass; there are tremendous sites to look at along the Chipmunk Rapids National Recreation Trail.
