Phillips Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, The Upper Columbia RV and Campground is a great local campground; Sand Point is in the vicinity and always magnificent to stop at. Phillips Lake is pretty dried out frequently; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most snow, and the driest month is September. This lake is so wonderful. Some nearby water includes       Big Sheep Creek, and a wonderful spot to camp here at Phillips Lake is East Sullivan - Colville National Forest. From Phillips Lake you acquire a great view of Grouse Mountain; Sheep Creek Falls is always fun to check out. That right there is a heap already, but it carries on; Phillips Lake has it all. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Phillips Lake; Terry Trail is a glorious local trail; a delightful close by hotel is Comfort Inn Colville. Through                  the long summer days at Phillips Lake temperatures are mostly in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's.
