Yep, outdoors enjoyable things to do are truly bountiful here at Petite Lake. Throughout the months of summer at Petite Lake highs are mostly in the 70's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Petite Lake temperatures descend to the 30's. A quick tour to Buck Creek next to Petite Lake is a great idea; there's       whitewater on Nisqually River for all you adrenaline people. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Little Nisqually River, and Petite Lake is a splendid place to camp, Alder Lake Park is a splendid place. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Stiltner Motel is a fine choice; you can stay the night at Indian Hole Campground. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Cascade Range.                  Petite Lake gets a good deal of water; most of the rain falls through December while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in the Northern Cascade Range.
