In Washington there are many beautiful lakes, Peterson Lake is one of them. So much fun stuff to do here at Peterson Lake, too good to be true. Leland Lake Campground is a good local campground, and Aladdin Motor Inns is a great location to get some rest. Lakes? Sure, Tarboo Lake is close at hand, and if you need a spot to stay Inn at Port Hadlock is a pleasant choice. All through the warm months here at Peterson Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 60's.

| | Through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Peterson Lake. Around Peterson Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; through December this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is July. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Olympic Mountains. Camp-peniel's is a wonderful campground nearby. All the outdoors entertaining things in the Olympic Mountains will keep you coming back repeatedly. There's whitewater on Big Quilcene River for all you thrill seekers. This lake
is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at close by Browns Lake, and Peterson Lake is right by the Mount Zion Trail. Peterson Lake is a beautiful lake in the Olympic Mountains. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Big Quilcene River, and do take a hike on the Bear Mountain Trail.

Cattail Lake
 | 12 miles away Cattail Lake in within the Bangor Naval Submarine Base and has not been accessible (even to most navy personnel) since 911. I have not been to Cattail Lake in a long time. It is a small natural lake with no dam. I don't think there is public camping at the Erland Point Mobile Home Park or CRISTA Camps & Conference grounds. CRISTA Camps & Conference center is at the south end of Island Lake in Silverdale.... |
