In Washington there are many beautiful lakes, Peery Lake is one of them. A quick trip to Grevit Creek next to Peery Lake is a tremendous idea, and a tour to Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area is worthwhile. If you came to camp Noisy Creek - Colville National Forest is a great place to do that, and at Peery Lake you can distinguish Coonrad Hill. | | Inn Colville is a nice place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, De Hart Lake is nearby, and not far from Peery Lake you obtain some great water scenery at Rosanna Lake Dam. Man, is there lots of amusing stuff to do in the vicinity of Peery Lake. throughout December while September is typically the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. For the period of the warm months here at Peery Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures
are in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Peery Lake temperatures sink to the 10's. There's so much to do here at Peery Lake that you need to camp here for
a while, East Sullivan - Colville National Forest is a wonderful place for that, and if you feel like a little side spree, try Finley Gulch.

 | 20 miles away 1 PHOTO ...d was opened to motorized traffic in the early 1930?s. The Colville National Forest formally recognized the winter use of Chewelah Peak in approximately 1935. A permit was issued for development of a site approximately two miles west of the present site of 49ø North Mountain Resort. The completion of Cy?s Hut in 1936 and a rope tow in 1939 firmly established winter recreation on Chewelah Peak. Cy?s Hut burned in 1949. After the completion of the two story Chewelah Mountain Lodge in 1950 and installation of a double chair lift in 1951, the area experienced an increased volume of recreational users and tourists. Over a period of years, obsolescence of the lift and lack of revenue due to a gradual decline in the condition of the facilities, culminating in closure in early 1968. On May 6, 1970, the Chewelah Basin Ski Corporation was formed and submitted a bid to develop and operate a ski resort in a basin approximately two miles east of the old area.
