This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Cascade Range. Not much rain falls here at Patterson Lake; during December this area sees the most snow while July is usually the driest month. During the warm days of summer at Patterson Lake highs are mostly in the 80's while overnight lows are generally in the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 20's; winter nights come       with lows in the 10's to Patterson Lake. Rader Creek flows through this vicinity; why not take a refreshing hike along the Bluff Lake Trail. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Loup Loup Ski Bowl; great water scenery is available at Patterson Lake Dam near Patterson Lake. But wait, there's more exciting stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range. Stay the night at Pine-near Trailer Park, and Patterson Lake is right by the Pearrygin                  Trail. Just can't get enough of Patterson Lake. If you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Chewuch River, and hiking along the South Fork Trail is nice fun. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Cascade Range. A wonderful place for whitewater paddling near Patterson Lake is Twisp River. This lake is so wonderful.
