Trout Meadows is a good campground nearby; folks from Yakima love to come here. This lake is so wonderful. Tieton River is a good whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Parker Reservoir, obviously you could also stop at Tim Ponds if you're here; it's not far at all. Parker Reservoir is pretty dried up usually; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most                  snow, and July is the month with the least moisture.
