A visit to Osborn Lakes is always a good idea. A lot of precipitation falls at Osborn Lakes; all through December this area sees the most rain, and July is when it's the driest. And that's not all you can do here in the Olympic Mountains. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Hamma Hamma River, and at Melbourne Lake Dam next to Osborn Lakes there are some exciting things to see. | | Olympic Mountains. What a location this is for outdoors people. There are some great whitewater spots on Jefferson Creek; Rest-a-while is a perfect campground nearby. High temperatures at Osborn Lakes through the summertime months are in the 70's, and the nighttime is slightly cooler of course, usually in the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are typically in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Osborn Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. | |

for more than one day, Glen Ayr RV Park and Motel is a magnificent location to camp nearby. So many fun things in the Olympic Mountains, just inspiring. Super 8 Motel - Shelton is a splendid place to get some rest; a quick trip to
East Fork Lilliwaup Creek is definitely a tremendous idea. Don't leave Osborn Lakes without first going for a hike along the Mount Jupiter Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You are close to Lilliwaup Bay if you're here at Osborn
Lakes, and in the neighborhood of Osborn Lakes you locate a golf course called Lake Cushman Golf Course. If you need a spot to stay Alderbrook Resort And Spa is a splendid choice; a stunning lake like Tenas Lake is a delightful site to explore.

Upper Elk Lake
 | It's been about 6yrs. since I was last at upper Elk Lake,It was my most favorite place to camp. If you were lucky, and got the only camp site on the lake,the lake was yours. The water was so crystal clear, you could almost see the bottom. The fishing was't bad either. There are plenty of trails and creeks to explore.Including Jefferson creek, which will lead you to lower Elk Lake. My children loved this spot as much as I. There was also a rope swing on the other side of the lake.It was heaven. My youngest daughter traveled back to the lake this summer (2008). She says the lake is destroyed, with water plants and logs,she says the water is no longer clear. This makes me sad, I may just have to plan a trip to see for myself.... |

There is a boat launch which is very small and to the point. :) There is also a park for employees of a certain company which I forget the name of now. This lake is very clean and refreshing. It is great for boats and inter tubing and swimming all the same :) Love this Lake!!...THERE IS A PUBLIC AREA AT THIS PARK,BOATING SWIM AND PICNIC AREA... |
