There are plenty of people from Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue here at Orting Lake, and a short tour to Victor Falls is always worthwhile. For the duration of the summertime months here at Orting Lake, high temperatures generally reach the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures       dip down into the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are commonly in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Orting Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Puyallup River, and why not a little side journey to Coplar Creek. An average amount of precipitation falls at Orting Lake; the month with most of the rain is December; July on the other hand is the driest. This lake                  is so wonderful. Camping is available at Sierra-rainier, and the scenery at Trout Springs Hatchery Dam is wonderful. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Orting Lake. After a long day outdoors Best Western Park Plaza is a great place to spend a night or two; if you come at the right time of year, Carbon River offers some nice whitewater. Lakes are pleasant; Trout Spring Hatchery is a lake that's near Orting Lake; if time allows, Mount Rainier National Park is a national park worth going to.
