If you are in Snohomish county it's always a good idea to stop by North Lake. North Lake gets a lot of water; November is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is July. So many exciting things to do here in the Northern Cascade Range, too good to be true. If you come at the right time of year, Clear Creek offers some good whitewater. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. On a gorgeous day you acquire a view of Iron Mountain

| | from North Lake; on a good day you can take a hike along the Meadow Mountain Trail. The Camp Creek Ridge Trail is a great hiking trail close to North Lake, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Sauk River. Camping is available at Deer Creek Campground, and Independence Lake is a tremendous lake close by. This lake is so wonderful. example Pass Lake. Man, is there lots of exciting things to do in the Northern Cascade Range. The slopes of Stephens Pass are so inviting noone can resist, and if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the Lost
Creek Ridge Trail. Throughout the warm days of summer, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at North Lake. During the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and night lows during
the wintertime for North Lake tend to be in the 30's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Cascade Range.

 | 24 miles away 1 PHOTO Stevens has a wide diversity of trails and runs that suits every riding style. From beginner to expert and for those terrain park junkies Stevens has you covered. I think what's special about Stevens is you can find your own little part of the mountain which is all yours, I have 4-5 little runs that cross between trails and off-piste that are all mine. Also the snow is crazy good, powder almost all the time. My favorite runs are Orion, some tree skiing near wall street, and right above the power lines. Stevens also has some pretty sweet out of bounds stuff to so check it out... |
