If you come at the right time of year, Tilton River offers some perfect whitewater; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at nearby Riffe Lake. High temperatures at Newaukum Lake through the days of summer are in the 70's; the night is fairly cooler of course, regularly in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's with temperatures at Newaukum Lake dipping       down into the 30's during winter nights. Some of the water close by flows, like Deer Creek. Lakes? Sure, Clear Lake is nearby. Yep, outdoors enjoyable things truly is bountiful here in the Northern Cascade Range. Why not camp at Harmony Lakeside RV Park if you're here at Newaukum Lake, and from Newaukum Lake you get a tremendous sight of Rooster Rock. So much enjoyable stuff to do at Newaukum Lake, so little time. If you're going to Newaukum Lake from                  Centralia, you won't be the only one. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Tilton River - North Fork; Ike Kinswa Campground is a brilliant local campground.
