Nels Lake is one of the lakes here in the Northern Cascade Range. This lake is so wonderful. Stephens Pass is a very popular ski area in the vicinity, and going for a hike on the Lost Creek Ridge Trail is always a good adventure. So many fun things to do here in the Northern Cascade Range, too great to be true. Nels Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Chocwich Campground is a tremendous       local campground, and there are good spots to discover along the Meadow Mountain Trail. In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sloan Creek It's always good to visit North Fork Falls. Nels Lake gets a great deal of water; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is July. Man, is there heaps of cool things to do in the Northern Cascade Range. One of the major highlights                  of the surroundings of Nels Lake is Bedal Peak; needless to say, A visit to Penders Canyon is always fun. This lake is so wonderful. Sauk River - North Fork is a good whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Nels Lake. There's so much to do here at Nels Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Bedal Campground is a great location for that. All through the warm months highs here at Nels Lake reach the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Nels Lake are in the 20's. This is no location for people who don’t like to have fun.
