If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Northern Cascade Range. Dry warm beds await you at Cascadia Inn; hiking is a popular thing to do around Nels Lake; Meadow Mountain Trail is a glorious local trail. What would winter be without some skiing at Stephens Pass, and you can run the rapids of Sauk River - North Fork. Through the summer at Nels Lake highs are ordinarily in the 70's. Summer overnight       lows dip down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Nels Lake. This place, the Northern Cascade Range, has so much outdoors cool stuff. Bedal Peak is uncomplicated to spot from Nels Lake, and a good location to explore is Penders Canyon. Camping at Nels Lake is fine fun, Bedal Campground is a fine local campground, and delightful hiking is available along the Lost Creek Ridge Trail. If only                  every place had this much outdoors cool things, what a great globe it would be. Skyriver Inn is a wonderful place to get some rest, and don't leave Nels Lake without first paying a visit to North Fork Falls. Nels Lake is a rather wet place usually with much precipitation; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is July. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Cougar Lake, and Nels Lake is a good spot to camp, Chocwich Campground is a good spot. This lake is so wonderful. A good place for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Nels Lake is Sloan Creek, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Camp Creek Ridge Trail.
