    Why not stop by Myrtle Lake if you're passing through these parts. There's pleasant hiking along the Finney Peak Trail; a nice place to camp here at Myrtle Lake is Skagit River woods. Myrtle Lake is located in the Northern Cascade Range. All through the summertime highs here at Myrtle Lake reach the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures  
   at Myrtle Lake sink into the 30's.
But wait, there's more to do next to Myrtle Lake. If you need a place to stay Eagles Nest Motel & RV Park is a fine choice, and glide down the rapids of Stillaguamish River - North Fork in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Myrtle Lake without first going for a hike along the Gee Point Trail, naturally you could also check out McGillicuddys Duck Pond since you're here; it's not far at all. Myrtle Lake is
 
               a wet spot that gets a good deal of rain; December is when you get the most rain here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
You simply must fancy the Northern Cascade Range. Camping is available at Timberline Mobile Home Park, and as expected Dicks Creek flows through this region. These mountains rock, just look at all the exciting things to do in the Northern Cascade Range. Dry warm beds await you at Cascade Mountain Lodge, and if you come at the right time of year, Boulder River offers some glorious whitewater.
