Comfort Inn University District/Downtown is a delightful place to get some rest, and there's perfect hiking along the John Wayne Trail - Tekoa Section. Muskrat Lake gets very little rain; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most snow while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. A good nearby hotel is Rodeway Inn Spokane, and if you came to camp Trailer       Inn's Recreational Vehicle Park is a good site to do that. All through the warm months at Muskrat Lake highs are usually in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's while Muskrat Lake overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a magnificent time here at Muskrat Lake. While you're here at Muskrat Lake you will meet lots of folks from close                  by Spokane; get your heart pumping on the magnificent whitewater of Rock Creek - Latah Creek Tributary. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Hangman Creek.
