During the summertime months at Mud Lakes highs are regularly in the 70's; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Mud Lakes. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Mud Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Pines Trailer and Recreational; if you need a location to stay Shelton Inn Motel is a magnificent       choice. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Shelton, and during your visit here you'll meet some people from Shelton for sure. This lake is so wonderful. Skokomish River - South Fork has a great whitewater paddling spot close by; do set aside some time for Lost Prairie if you're here at Mud Lakes. The Olympic Mountains scenery is always beautiful. And if that's not enough, there's loads more to do next to Mud Lakes. So much entertaining stuff                  to do here in the Olympic Mountains, too great to be true. In the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cedar Creek, and you can stay the night at Panhandle Lake 4-h Camp.
