This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Williams Lake Resort is a fine spot to camp; if you need a location to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites CHENEY-UNIVERSITY AREA is a great choice. If only every spot had this much outdoors enjoyable stuff, what a great globe it would be. Time spent at Johnsons Beach right next door to Mud Lake is always glorious. During your tour to Mud Lake you'll meet       some folks from Pullman for sure, and Castle Rock is an out of the ordinary thing to observe while you're here. Mud Lake is not the only spot nearby, Castle Rock Lake is a nearby lake, and after a long day outdoors Willow Springs Motel near EWU is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Mud Lake while night lows are frequently in the 40's. Highs throughout the winter are usually in the 30's, and winter nights come with                  lows in the 20's to Mud Lake. It is very dried out here at Mud Lake typically; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most snow, and the driest of the months is July.
