This lake is so wonderful. Blue Heron Beach is close to Mud Lake and is a picturesque beach to visit; Lake Chelan National Recreation Area is a pleasant local destination. If you need a location to stay Days Inn Bellingham is a nice choice; a great site to camp here at Mud Lake is Lake Samish Terrace. This place, the Northern Cascade Range, has so much outdoors amusing things.       If you come at the right time of year, Whatcom Creek offers some great whitewater, and Chuckanut Mountain can be spotted from Mud Lake. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors fun things the area right next door to Mud Lake has to offer. After a long day outdoors Travelodge Bellingham is a delightful site to spend a night or two, and Dogfish Point is close by and always good to have a look at. This lake is so wonderful. A tour to Samish Beach right next                  door to Mud Lake is always a great idea, and since you're here, you could also pop by beautiful Lost Lake. Mud Lake is a good site of normal precipitation; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain; July meanwhile is the driest month. All through the summer highs here at Mud Lake get into the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Mud Lake plunge into the 30's.
