Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at close by Clear Lake. For the duration of the warm months at Mud Lake temperatures are regularly in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the       winter at Mud Lake temperatures drop to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Spokane River is so much fun; if you need a place to stay Willow Springs Motel near EWU is a wonderful choice.
