    If you are in Snohomish county it's always a good idea to stop by Mud Lake. You simply should go for the Northern Cascade Range. Lake Chelan National Recreation Area is a great local destination here at Mud Lake; camping at Pilchuck Bridge Campground is always a pleasant experience. High temperatures at Mud Lake during the summertime months are in the 70's, and the nighttime is a little colder of course, commonly in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter  
   are in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 30's for Mud Lake. The high level of rainfall makes Mud Lake a reasonably wet location; December is when you get the most rain here; the driest month of the year is July.
You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff at Mud Lake. There's great hiking along the Gee Point Trail; whitewater paddling is great on Jim Creek. Bear Creek is a magnificent site to have a look at, and if you don’t have a
 
               problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Stillaguamish River - South Fork. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Lost Lake is in the neighborhood of Mud Lake; Mud Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Lake Connor Park is a pleasant local campground.
This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Cascade Range. Looking for something right next door to Mud Lake? King Lake is in the vicinity, and dry warm beds await you at Hawthorn Inn And Suites Arlington Seattle North. Man, is there a lot of entertaining stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range. If you need a site to stay Medallion Hotel is a magnificent choice.

Lake Beecher is surrounded on 3 sides by a wildlife reserve and a wooded flood plain. Several families of Beavers and Otters make their homes along the sides of the lake. Evidence of large fresh water muscles are often found on the aging docks of the 1920s & 1930s cottages that are along the lake. In the early morning & evening in the summertime, hot air balloons drift along the edge of the lake just above the treeline between the lake and the Snohomish River....

WE USED TO FISH HUNT AND FOURWHEEL AT THE LAKE...We used to ride dirt bikes in the early 70's up to lake fontal, lotsa fun. I remember the cabins and little store that was up there when I was a kid in the 60's....I used to fish on Lake Fontal but now there isn't any fish.Warning: Lake Fontal Road is a dead end that does not lead to Lake Fontal. The lake is definitely not worth the trouble....We used to ride hores into lake fontal in the late 60's. There used to be a small resort there, complete with cabins, boat rentals,always a huge party opening weekend..(?) big foot sightings in the area...could of been the micro-dot....
