The high level of precipitation makes Mud Lake a reasonably wet spot; the month with most of the snow is December while July is ordinarily the driest month. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Cascade Range. And if you're still looking for more outdoors amusing stuff just keep reading. Take a hike on the South Point Trail, and a lake close by is Saint Michael Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Glacier

Lake Trail. Now, you may think that's loads but there's even more amusing stuff to do here in the Northern Cascade Range. It's a brilliant idea to go to Mouse Creek, it's close to Mud Lake; if you get bored of Mud Lake you could also take a look at nearby Wobbly Lake. And if that's not enough there's plenty more amusing things to do in the Northern Cascade Range. Hiking along the Jordan Creek Trail is pleasant fun; White Pass has brilliant slopes and a friendly
               staff.
This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Cat Creek Campground since you're here at Mud Lake; you can hit the slopes at Crystal Mountain close at hand. For the period of the long summer days at Mud Lake highs are mostly in the 70's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Through the wintertime the highs are usually in the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Mud Lake. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Cispus River - North Fork, and the top of Hamilton Buttes is easily distinguished from Mud Lake.
If you came for an overnight stay Olallie Lake Campground is a nice site to camp, and float down the rapids of Cispus River in a kayak.

Table Mountain Trail
Hi, I have tried to climb this mountain, but the there are very little trail markers and the Columbian write ups on directions were not even close to actuality. I am trying to locate specific directions since there are several different forks. You have all these coordinates but if you don't have or use a GPS they are useless. Alas, you can't help me anymore than what's available out there, which is nothing really....

Pacific Crest Trail - section 24
Roundtrip Distance 13.4 miles
Elevation Gain 2,598 ft.
This peak is trailless, meaning a portion or all of the route up the mountain is via an unmarked trail. For this particular mountain, the typical route is known as a ''herd path'' which is not much more than a worn, but unmarked trail. Some of the herd paths are easy to follow, others are not. In many instances the hiker will travel down a false herd path and eventually have to correct his/her course via backtracking. For these particular mountains, it is imperative that the hiker carry a compass (and know how to use it) and topographic map....

Bench Lake

This is Bench Lake in the Bird Creek area of Mt. Adams, Washington. This is located on the Yakama Reservation portion of land called Tract D which was Treaty land deeded back to the tribes in 1973. Mt. Adams plays peekaboo here with Little Mt. Adams.

The ranger of this area, Richard Canapo, stays in a trailer up the hill at the entrance by Mirror Lake and is a good source of local information as well as maps of the trails in the area. Permits are as follows:

Entry permit... $5. 00 for a 5 day entry fee

Camping and fishing permits are in addition to entry fees and are:

Camping... $10. 00 per night per space Fishing ... $5. 00 per day or $10. 00 for 5 days

You can have up to 12 pieces of split firewood per night of camping.

I should add that the road in to this lake is a bit rough and rocky, a narrow dirt road. Be cautious watching for other traffic, and I would not take an extremely low car in here. Last trip someone put a hole in a crankcase of a PT Cruiser... This can be avoided by careful driving! ...
