High temperatures at Mud Lake throughout the summertime months are in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 40's while Mud Lake nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 30's. All the water falling down from the sky makes Mud Lake a wet site; December is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is July. This       lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Mount Defiance Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and after a long day outdoors Sunset Motel is a great site to spend a night or two. Canyon Creek is a striking stream that is worth going to, of course you could also explore Black Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. Yeah, come here to Mud Lake for a delightful time. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Tolt River - North                  Fork, and get covered with water paddling on Tolt River - South Fork. But wait, there's more fun things to do in the Northern Cascade Range. Camping at Mud Lake is fine fun, Nor'west Motel and RV Park is a fine local campground, and if the weather is delightful, you can go for a hike along the Pratt Lake Trail. Having a glorious time in the Northern Cascade Range is painless. A good close by hotel is North Bend Motel; Lake Bronson Assoc Nudist Park is a brilliant campground here.
