The peak of Bald Hill can be seen from Mud Lake; camping at Mud Lake is wonderful fun, Lake Ellen Campground is a wonderful local campground. A brilliant spot for whitewater paddling close to Mud Lake is Sherman Creek; if you need a spot to stay Blue Mooese Rental Cabins is a perfect choice. That right there is lots already, but it continues; Mud Lake has it all. If       time allows, Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area is a national park worth visiting, and don't leave Mud Lake without first going for a hike along the White Mountain Trail. All through the warmest time of the year at Mud Lake temperatures are typically in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Mud Lake. Dry warm beds await you at H & H Motel; Mud                  Lake is a splendid place to camp, Canyon Creek Campground is a splendid place. It is very dried out here at Mud Lake ordinarily; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most snow, and October meanwhile is the driest month.
