Mud Lake is close to Day Mine Tailings Pond Dam which is a delightful place positively worth a visit, and there is a brilliant hiking trail close by called the Golden Harvest Trail. Looking for something in the vicinity of Mud Lake? Ward Lake is close by; the Storm King Trail is a good hiking trail close by. Mud Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Tiffany's Resort is a nice local campground; going for a hike on the Empire Drive Trail is always a perfect adventure. by, Copper Lakes is a close by lake. There's so much to do here at Mud Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Miller's Campground and RV Park is a perfect site for that. Summertime highs at Mud Lake ordinarily tend to be in
the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's, and night lows all through the winter for Mud Lake tend to be in the 10's.

Little decks on the back of the cabins to sit and listen to the creek and multiple species of birds singing. Unlimited tent sites. Most of which are very large corralled area so you know your space. The rest room favilities is centrally located to all sites, are very clean with hot showers. The gazebo area, with BBQ's, is for all to use. We have (2) sets of horse shoe pits. Laundry facility on site. We sell propane, some RV items, ice cream, water, soda and ice in the office. Or cabins are very popular for motorcyclist, peddle bikers and hunters. It must have been repurchased by the Bureau of Reclamation when the Dam was being considered. Glad it's still beautiful.... |
