Mud Lake is a lake worth visiting. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors cool stuff the area near Mud Lake has to offer. A great location to camp here at Mud Lake is Lewis River RV Park, and dry warm beds await you at Lewis River Inn. There is a magnificent hiking trail next to Mud Lake called the Georges Peak Trail; Mud Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Woodland Shores RV Park is a great local campground. Mud Lake temperatures plunge to the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart beating on the delightful whitewater of Kalama River, and while you're here, you could also take a look at wonderful Carty Lake.
Mud Lake mostly
gets a lot of precipitation; December is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is July. Allen Canyon is close to Mud Lake and is a brilliant spot, and some of the water nearby flows, like Allen Creek. Why not spend
some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Tri-Mountain Golf Course, and during your spree here you'll meet some folks from Longview-Kelso for sure.
