So many amusing things in the Northern Cascade Range, just mind-boggling. Carnation Golf Course & Driving Range is a great golf course close by. Why not camp at Tolt River John Macdonald Park while you're here at Moss Lake, and get your heart beating on the splendid whitewater of Tolt River - North Fork. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Tolt River; a lovely lake like Lake Joy is a fine
   place to stop at.
What a place this is for outdoors folks. Looking for some flowing water? Try Stossel Creek; you don’t have to go far from Moss Lake to spot the water at Sawns Mill Pond Dam. A normal amount of precipitation falls here at Moss Lake; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily December, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is July. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Cascade Range.

Lake Dorothy
This was a beautiful hike, coming out on a lake that was pristine and gorgeous. The only problem is, the hike is really long, steep, up hill, and was exhausting for me. I would consider this an upper intermediate hike....

Lake Fontal
WE USED TO FISH HUNT AND FOURWHEEL AT THE LAKE...We used to ride dirt bikes in the early 70's up to lake fontal, lotsa fun. I remember the cabins and little store that was up there when I was a kid in the 60's....I used to fish on Lake Fontal but now there isn't any fish.Warning: Lake Fontal Road is a dead end that does not lead to Lake Fontal. The lake is definitely not worth the trouble....We used to ride hores into lake fontal in the late 60's. There used to be a small resort there, complete with cabins, boat rentals, always a huge party opening weekend..(?) big foot sightings in the area...could of been the micro-dot....

Boyle Lake
Didn't catch anything. Supposedly fish but, not even a bit....

Raging River
Attempting to kayak this river is another way to die.... It is not navigable.  I've seen 2 people on this river (lived on it for 18 years now) one died and the other barely survived his buddies death........

Lake Sammamish
17 miles away
We go to Lake Sammamish every summer. We love boating. The view is spectacular with Mt Rainier and all the hillsides. The water is warm and the beach is huge! We have our company picnic there every year also. Great place to visit!...

Lake Beecher
18 miles away
1 PHOTO
Lake Beecher is surrounded on 3 sides by a wildlife reserve and a wooded flood plain. Several families of Beavers and Otters make their homes along the sides of the lake. Evidence of large fresh water muscles are often found on the aging docks of the 1920s & 1930s cottages that are along the lake. In the early morning & evening in the summertime, hot air balloons drift along the edge of the lake just above the treeline between the lake and the Snohomish River....

Lake Kathleen
19 miles away
I live nearby, so my husband and I went to check out Lake Kathleen.  We didn't see any public parks or facilities and when we asked a resident who was out for a walk if there were any, she said ''no''...
