This is a magnificent area for people who like lakes. Big Twin Lake is a lake around here, and why not take a little trip to Thompson Creek if you're here. Not much rainfall falls here at Moccasin Lake; the month of December is the wettest with most of the snow; the driest month is July. The skiing at Echo Valley is perfect, and Moccasin Lake Dam is pretty. This lake is so wonderful.       Americas Best Value Inn-Winthrop is a fine site to get some rest, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Loup Loup Ski Bowl is pretty near. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors cool stuff the area close to Moccasin Lake has to offer. After a long day outdoors Sun Mountain Lodge is a good spot to spend a night or two, and whitewater paddling is splendid on Twisp River. That right there is heaps of enjoyable stuff already but it goes on, the Northern                  Cascade Range has it all. Pine-near Trailer Park is a great campground nearby, and you can have a nice hiking adventure along the Pearrygin Trail. Big Twin Lake Campground is a great local campground, and going for a hike along the South Fork Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Northern Cascade Range. Enjoy a round of golf at Bear Creek Golf Course not far from Moccasin Lake, and hiking along the Bluff Lake Trail is glorious fun. This lake is so wonderful. You're perhaps addicted to lakes, Aspen Lake is one of those close by, and paddling on Chewuch River is so much fun. And that's not all you can do here at Moccasin Lake. Throughout the months of summer at Moccasin Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's.
