At Mitchell Lake you can see Butcher Mountain, and Goose Heaven is a magnificent site to stretch your legs a bit. This lake is so wonderful. Mitchell Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Cloverleaf Beach Campground is a nice local campground; in case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sherman Creek. And if that's not enough, there's a lot more to do in                  close proximity to Mitchell Lake. During the days of summer, highs commonly are in the 80's at Mitchell Lake while overnight lows are typically in the 40's.
