Mitchell Lake is a location that is quite waterless mostly; most of the snow falls through December, and October is when it's the driest. A pleasant site for whitewater paddling right next door to Mitchell Lake is Sherman Creek, and do visit Clark Lake, it's a scenic lake. While you're here at Mitchell Lake it's a good idea to go to Goose Heaven, and a brilliant vista of stunning       Butcher Mountain is available. You'll locate a delightful lake called Nettleton Lake near Mitchell Lake, and Mitchell Lake is a wonderful place to visit for more than one day, Cloverleaf Beach Campground is a wonderful place to camp nearby. At Mitchell Lake throughout the summer months highs are in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and night lows during the winter                  for Mitchell Lake tend to be in the 10's. Man, is there a load of cool things to do next to Mitchell Lake. Stay the night at Gifford Campground. This lake is so wonderful.
