If you come at the right time of year, Dosewallips River offers some great whitewater; don't leave Mission Lake without first going for a hike along the Mount Jupiter Trail. Camping is available at Norseland Mobile Estates, and Tahuya River Dam is an interesting thing to check out. Taking a little tour to close by Great Peninsula is a perfect idea, and there are some glorious whitewater spots on       Duckabush River. This lake is so wonderful. Why not explore nearby Gold Creek since you're here at Mission Lake, and lots of folks from Bremerton-Silverdale come here. This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than Mission Lake, for example Panther Lake, and you obtain a wonderful sight of Green Mountain from here. During the summertime months highs here at Mission Lake get into the 70's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in                  the 50's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 40's with temperatures at Mission Lake dipping down into the 30's during winter nights. Mission Lake gets a good deal of water; December is the month that gets the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Comfort Inn & Suites is a delightful place to get some rest, and if you came for an overnight stay Park Place On Hood Canal is a great spot to camp.
