Miners Lakes is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Cascade Range. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Morse Creek Campground is a perfect campground nearby, and not far from Miners Lakes you'll locate Hen Skin Lake which is a charming lake. Just can't get enough of the Northern Cascade Range. | | weather is pretty, you obtain a good sight of Crystal Mountain from Miners Lakes. If you like the outdoors, you'll adore Miners Lakes. Paddling on White River is so much fun. Lakes? Sure, Elizabeth Lake is in the vicinity. Everybody loves Pickhandle Basin, and some close by water includes Elizabeth Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Mountain Trail. Miners Lakes is a wet site that gets a large amount of rain; November is the wettest month with most rain while July is regularly the driest month. And if that's not sufficient there's plenty more fun things to do
in the Northern Cascade Range. Gotta ski! White Pass is a perfect place to do that, and if you came for an overnight stay Dry Creek Campground is a great site to camp. This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of Crystal Mountain
are so inviting nobody can resist, and Miners Lakes is right by the Dewey Lake Trail. High temperatures at Miners Lakes throughout the long summer days are in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down
into the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 40's; night lows in the 30's for Miners Lakes. A tremendous place close to Miners Lakes is Bear Gap, and whitewater paddling is tremendous on Chinook Creek.

Granite Lake
 | 11 miles away Granite Lake has crystal clear water, is surrounded by a very primtive campground. I don't recall how many campsites there are, but I have never been there when there was more than one other party. The surrounding area is incredibly beautiful, well worth the extremely rough road in. 4 wheel drive only. There is an abandoned copper mine in the area, and if you can find the trailhead, (good luck), the scenery is breathtaking. I've been to the mine 3 times. Watch out for bears! There is a ghost town below the copper mine. Very little is left. There are picnic tables, no water and no bathrooms. Come prepared.... |
