The beauty of Miller Pond attracts many people from all around. Man, is there lots of entertaining stuff to do in the Olympic Mountains. If you need a spot to stay Super 8 Motel - Shelton is a fine choice; there are plenty of people from Shelton here at Miller Pond. So many exciting things to do here in the Olympic Mountains, too nice to be true. Do have a look at Tenas Lake near Miller Pond, it's a striking lake, and camping is available at Lilliwaup Creek

| | Campground. This lake is so wonderful. On a lovely day you obtain a vista of Dow Mountain from Miller Pond; close by you find the Mount Jupiter Trail which is a good hiking trail. Miller Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month is July. stop at. Miller Pond is a beautiful lake in the Olympic Mountains. You can run the rapids of Hamma Hamma River in the vicinity of Miller Pond; let's not forget Big Creek which is a stream that you may bump into during your stay.
What a site this is for outdoors people. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Lake Cushman Golf Course is close at hand; swamps are out of the ordinary places and Lilliwaup Swamp near Miller Pond is no exception.
This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Alderbrook Resort And Spa is a splendid site to spend a night or two, and why not camp at Lake Cushman Resort if you're here at Miller Pond. Summertime at Miller Pond arrives with
high temperatures in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are generally in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Miller Pond are in the 30's.

Upper Elk Lake
 | It's been about 6yrs. since I was last at upper Elk Lake,It was my most favorite place to camp. If you were lucky, and got the only camp site on the lake,the lake was yours. The water was so crystal clear, you could almost see the bottom. The fishing was't bad either. There are plenty of trails and creeks to explore.Including Jefferson creek, which will lead you to lower Elk Lake. My children loved this spot as much as I. There was also a rope swing on the other side of the lake.It was heaven. My youngest daughter traveled back to the lake this summer (2008). She says the lake is destroyed, with water plants and logs,she says the water is no longer clear. This makes me sad, I may just have to plan a trip to see for myself.... |

There is a boat launch which is very small and to the point. :) There is also a park for employees of a certain company which I forget the name of now. This lake is very clean and refreshing.
