A good nearby hotel is Best Western Snowcap Lodge, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Kaner Flat Trail. People from Ellensburg love to come to Milk Lake. A large amount of precipitation falls at Milk Lake; the month with most of the snow is January, and the driest month is July.
This lake is so wonderful. Devils Slide is an attention-grabbing location to pop by while at Milk Lake, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Keenan Meadows

Trail. Summertime highs at Milk Lake mostly tend to be in the 60's. All through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 40's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 20's while Milk Lake night low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 10's. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. If you need a place to stay Stewart Lodge is a delightful choice, and Rocky Saddle is a great place to have a look at.
Milk Lake is one of the lakes here in the

Northern Cascade Range. Now, you may assume that's plenty but there's even more exciting things to do here in the Northern Cascade Range. Not far from Milk Lake, you'll hit upon Shoestring Lake which is a beautiful lake, and Halfway Flat Campground II is a tremendous local campground. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Devils Slide Lake, and do set aside some time for Tripod Flat while you're here at Milk Lake.
Whohoo, so many cool things in one place! The Northern Cascade Range rocks! There's whitewater on American River for all you adrenaline junkies, and if the weather is magnificent, you can go for a hike along the Frost Mountain Lookout Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Rattlesnake Creek - Naches Tributary; why not camp at Squaw Rock Resort and RV Park if you're here at Milk Lake.

Naches River
10 miles away
On July 19, 2009 we started at Boulder caves, floated for 2 1/2 hours and got out at Squaw Rock resort. The gauge was 50. 3 ft. There was just enough water, any lower and we would have been hitting rocks in the riffles. It was way fun!! The only thing to look out for is the ''Gaunlet''. About 3/4 of the way down. STAY LEFT. There is a large rock that splits the river, if you stay left it is a fun ride, otherwise you will end up plastered to the rock.

We were in inflatable kayaks.
Have fun!!

Wish Poosh Campground
15 miles away
We overnighted at this campsite a couple of weekends ago. The camp hosts were wonderful, they were informative and kept the grounds and the bathrooms spic-n-span clean. They were always in their golf cart putting around taking care of this or that. They scolded us for staying the night in a place we weren't supposed to, and I felt bad about that because I knew we shouldn't have stayed there but my partner insisted and it was his birthday. I knew they were just keeping order at the campground they were in charge of, and I appreciated that. Keep up the good work!...

Rimrock Lake
18 miles away
Robin, you can have fires in camp at Rimrock as long as there are no fire bans in the Wenatchee National Forest, you can find out if there is a ban by going to the Naches Ranger Station online or along Highway 12 going through Naches up White Pass....When is the best time to troll for silvers in Rimrock Lake?...Would like to now if we are allowed to have camp fires at rimrock lake....
