Naches River
 | 10 miles away On July 19, 2009 we started at Boulder caves, floated for 2 1/2 hours and got out at Squaw Rock resort. The gauge was 50. 3 ft. There was just enough water, any lower and we would have been hitting rocks in the riffles. It was way fun!! The only thing to look out for is the ''Gaunlet''. About 3/4 of the way down. STAY LEFT. There is a large rock that splits the river, if you stay left it is a fun ride, otherwise you will end up plastered to the rock.
We were in inflatable kayaks. Have fun!! ... |
Wish Poosh Campground
 | 15 miles away We overnighted at this campsite a couple of weekends ago. The camp hosts were wonderful, they were informative and kept the grounds and the bathrooms spic-n-span clean. They were always in their golf cart putting around taking care of this or that. They scolded us for staying the night in a place we weren't supposed to, and I felt bad about that because I knew we shouldn't have stayed there but my partner insisted and it was his birthday. I knew they were just keeping order at the campground they were in charge of, and I appreciated that. Keep up the good work!... |
Rimrock Lake
 | 18 miles away Robin, you can have fires in camp at Rimrock as long as there are no fire bans in the Wenatchee National Forest, you can find out if there is a ban by going to the Naches Ranger Station online or along Highway 12 going through Naches up White Pass....When is the best time to troll for silvers in Rimrock Lake?...Would like to now if we are allowed to have camp fires at rimrock lake.... |
