Milard Lake is one of the lakes here in the Northern Cascade Range. This lake is so wonderful. A delightful close by hotel is Best Western Sky Valley Inn, and Granite Falls is an inspiring place to explore during your stay. GuestHouse Inn & Suites M is a glorious site to get some rest, and a glorious panorama of pretty Iron Mountain is available. Near Milard Lake you stumble on the Gee Point Trail which is a glorious hiking trail, and in the event that you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Canyon Creek South Fork Stillaguamish Tributary. - South Fork has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby, and since you're here, you could also stop at wonderful Granite Falls Reservoir. Milard Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; of all the months in a year December is the
one with the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. Summertime at Milard Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime
this place gets highs in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Milard Lake temperatures fall to the 30's.

 | 12 miles away WE USED TO FISH HUNT AND FOURWHEEL AT THE LAKE...We used to ride dirt bikes in the early 70's up to lake fontal, lotsa fun. I remember the cabins and little store that was up there when I was a kid in the 60's....I used to fish on Lake Fontal but now there isn't any fish.Warning: Lake Fontal Road is a dead end that does not lead to Lake Fontal. The lake is definitely not worth the trouble....We used to ride hores into lake fontal in the late 60's. There used to be a small resort there, complete with cabins, boat rentals,always a huge party opening weekend..(?) big foot sightings in the area...could of been the micro-dot.... |
